Moore Park Colour and Kites 2005

20-21st August

Denotes Hi-Res Image available.

Saturday was a great day and even waiting for the breeze early on was an enjoyable time to sit back and relax for a while with the shade and Tea provided by Graham and Lorraine.
By 11am there was a good steady wind blowing and within a short time there were Kites of all shapes and sizes heading skywards.

Just look at that beautiful blue sky! - a perfect backdrop.
Murial and Ellen took part in the face painting... while Alan showed us all just how much fun (and sandy) buggying can be.
Jason and friends from Briskites also put on a great show of kite boarding for the crowds on the beach.
A new visitor to the festival this year was the 'Sandcastle' man. He created his castle in front of the Surf Club. Altho' Im sure most of us thought his long suffering girlfriend was probably more deserving of praise - carting bucket after bucket of seawater up the beach (which got further and further distant as the tide receded).
All in all, A great weekend. The festival just keeps getting bigger and better every year.
